The Cliffhanger - Room 2

Room 2 is a small (200sq ft) cozy room located within the main building on our ground floor but holds true to its name as it sits high above the valley floor and trees below! For those that want a great corner room at the highest peak, this might be the room for you! Just walk out onto our version of the Swiss Family Robinson walking bridge to the end of the terrace and you will be looking down towards Turkey Cove and the folding hills of the valley beneath your feet. The bridge creaks a bit so your spouse may hear you sneak off to the fire pit. It has a double bed with a refrigerator microwave, Roku flat screen TV, table and chair, Air-Conditioning/Window Unit, heating unit, and a small private bathroom that has a large shower with a bench. The balcony is semi-private (sharing the space with one other room) with a table and two chairs. And since it’s a corner room, it has windows on two different walls, giving it a spacious, cool, and open feeling. The balcony faces out toward Shortoff Mountain and to your left, you’ll see the glorious Table Rock Mountain.

Hootin' Annie's Boudoir - Room 3

Balcony

Room 3 is located within the main building on the ground floor which is also the top deck with a short walk around talkative Swiss Family Robinson-style bridge. Hop off your motorcycle or out of your car and park it right outside the wrap-around bridge for easy access to your room high atop Grassy Creek Mountain. It is a suite with a queen bed and has a refrigerator, microwave, Roku flat-screen TV, and a small living area down the hall with a futon that folds out into a bed. It also houses a desk, chair, and heating unit. You should feel very lucky for this is where Hootin’ Annie stays on her Adventures to meet up with Boojum; our mountain gem protector. A rustic room built for Rustic Mountain Royalty. Each room has a ceiling fan and window overlooking Shortoff and Table Rock Mountains. The bathroom is smaller and has a simple but comfortable shower and bathtub. The semi-private balcony includes a table and two chairs to enjoy that million-dollar view.

Boojum Hideaway - Room 4

Balcony

Room 4 is a small (200sq ft) treasure that has 20 steps down to our lower level which is very easy to negotiate in the secondary building. It is a small remodeled room in 2023 that showcases a small bathroom with new fixtures, a black slate tile shower with an abalone accent that has a clean and welcoming feel. The room has been outfitted with luxury Catskill Pine vinyl plank flooring and has two double beds. It offers a refrigerator, microwave, Roku flat screen tv, desk and two chairs, dresser, ceiling fan, and heating unit. The room offers windows on two sides to let in the fresh alpine air with a private corner balcony and two chairs in addition to a small table that overlooks the famous Table Rock Mountain. Home to some of the most gorgeous sunrises on the eastern seaboard; especially in June & July when the sun emerges directly behind the mountain. In the daunting hours of dusk listen close and you may hear the grunt of Boojum; the keeper of the precious gems of the mineral city.

Hammock Boy - Room 5

The Alpiner’s Treehouse - Room 7

Balcony

Alpiner’s Treehouse is in the second building on the ground level which also happens to be our top floor for the best million-dollar views Grassy Creek Mountain has to offer.  Not technically a treehouse but you will feel like it because our little rustic Inn clings to the side of this mountain. It is a modest (200 sq ft) room and no stairs are necessary for this room as it has a small ramp to the upper floor to building two and a cute walk bridge to your front door. Lucky number 7 includes two double beds, a refrigerator, a microwave, Roku flat-screen TV, a desk and chair, and a ceiling fan. The small private bathroom has a simple but adequate shower, toilet, and additional toiletries to make your stay a memorable one. The room has a private corner balcony with two chairs and a small table. Room 7 has windows on two different sides so it feels like you’re in the trees.

“To the Trees!” As my friend -Pete Nelson- would say. All the better to let in the constant cool breezes of Little Switzerland into your room.

The Diamondback - Room 8

Balcony

The Diamondback is a cozy (200sq ft) rustic room perfect for couples on the top floor in our second building overlooking the Blue Ridge Mountains and the city of Marion down below the canopy on the valley floor. A top floor room with no stairs to climb because our top deck is also our ground floor. However, it does have a small ramp to get to your room for those who may have knee problems. It has a queen bed, refrigerator, microwave, Roku flat-screen TV, and a small private bathroom with a shower. The room also offers a desk, chairs, a dresser, a ceiling fan, and a heating unit which opens to a private balcony with two chairs and a small table. Open your huge bay window to let in the light winds of Little Switzerland and immerse yourself in the tranquility of the mountains.
