Alpine Inn Rooms

The Alpine Inn offers the best views on the mountain—if not in all of North Carolina. However, due to the impact of Hurricane Helene, we’ve had to make a few changes this year. While we lost our main buildings, including the lobby, dining area, and several guest rooms, we remain committed to providing a memorable and comfortable stay. Check-in and check-out will now be primarily self-service, and our onsite Food Trailer will serve breakfast and dinner for guests. We appreciate your patience and support as we navigate this rebuilding phase and continue to offer the breathtaking experience you know and love.

Boojum Hideaway - Room 4

Balcony

Room 4 is a small (200sq ft) treasure that has 20 steps down to our lower level which is very easy to negotiate in the secondary building. It is a small remodeled room in 2023 that showcases a small bathroom with new fixtures, a black slate tile shower with an abalone accent that has a clean and welcoming feel. The room has been outfitted with luxury Catskill Pine vinyl plank flooring and has two double beds. It offers a refrigerator, microwave, Roku flat screen tv, climate control mini-split, desk, chairs, and dresser. The room offers windows on two sides to let in the fresh alpine air with a private corner balcony and two chairs in addition to a small table that overlooks the famous Table Rock Mountain. Home to some of the most gorgeous sunrises on the eastern seaboard; especially in June & July when the sun emerges directly behind the mountain. In the daunting hours of dusk listen close and you may hear the grunt of Boojum; the keeper of the precious gems of the mineral city.

Hammock Boy - Room 5

Room 5 is a cozy (200sq ft) rustic treat that has 20 steps down to our lower level which is easy to access in our secondary building. The room also includes Catskill Pine luxury vinyl plank flooring, trim, and a new entry door. The room amenities offer a refrigerator, microwave, and Roku flat-screen TV, climate control mini-split with a queen-sized bed. The room has a desk and chairs, and a dresser. Room 5 showcases an enormous window to view and let in the fresh mountain scenery and breezes. Off the back side of the room is your own private balcony with two chairs and a live edge table for your beverage of choice for those relaxing summer nights over looking Turkey Cove.

Bobo - Room 6

Balcony

Room 6 is another quaint (200sq ft) corner room with 20 steps down to the lower level of our secondary building. It is a room that was renovated in 2023 and has large windows on two different sides for great cross ventilation & views of the Blue Ridge Mountain chain including both Table Rock and Shortoff Mountains. It has two double beds, refrigerator, microwave, Roku flat screen tv, table and chairs and climate control mini-split. The quaint bathroom is outfitted with beige-colored stone tile and a silver subway tile accent shower with new fixtures just to name a few. The corner balcony is private with a table and two chairs. This room has windows on both sides to allow for fabulous air circulation and stupendous mountain views. Be sure to say hello to Bobo while you’re there. *Hint; he’s the white one. He’s also the Magical goat in The Adventures of Boojum and Hammock Boy.

The Alpiner’s Treehouse - Room 7

Balcony

Alpiner’s Treehouse is in the second building on the ground level which also happens to be our top floor for the best million-dollar views Grassy Creek Mountain has to offer.  Not technically a treehouse but you will feel like it because our little rustic Inn clings to the side of this mountain. It is a modest (200 sq ft) room and no stairs are necessary for this room as it has a small ramp to the upper floor to building two and a cute walk bridge to your front door. Lucky number 7 includes two double beds, a refrigerator, a microwave, Roku flat-screen TV, climate control mini-split, a desk and chair. The private bathroom has a large 34" by 36" tile shower, toilet, and additional toiletries to make your stay a memorable one. The room has a private corner balcony with two chairs and a small table. Room 7 has windows on two different sides so it feels like you’re in the trees.

“To the Trees!” As my friend -Pete Nelson- would say. All the better to let in the constant cool breezes of Little Switzerland into your room.

The Diamondback - Room 8

Balcony

The Diamondback is a cozy (200sq ft) rustic room perfect for couples on the top floor in our second building overlooking the Blue Ridge Mountains and the city of Marion down below the canopy on the valley floor. A top floor room with no stairs to climb because our top deck is also our ground floor. However, it does have a small ramp to get to your room for those who may have knee problems. It has a queen bed, refrigerator, microwave, Roku flat-screen TV, climate control mini-split and a small private bathroom with a shower. The room also offers a desk, chairs, a dresser, a ceiling fan, and a heating unit which opens to a private balcony with two chairs and a small table. Open your huge bay window to let in the light winds of Little Switzerland and immerse yourself in the tranquility of the mountains.

Mineral City - Room 9

Balcony

Mineral City is a small (200sq ft) corner room on the top floor of building number two that requires no negotiating of any stairs but has a small ramp down to your room. It offers large windows on two different sides that open to the Blue Ridge Mountains. You can view the fantastic folds that house some of North America’s most refined gems. That’s the reason in the early hours of the evening you may hear Boojum grunt off in the distance as he hunts for his precious loot. This room has two double beds, a refrigerator, a microwave, Roku flat-screen TV, cliomate control mini-split, and a table and chairs. The humble bathroom has a small private rustic shower and toilet. The corner balcony is private with two chairs and a small table to enjoy the cool evenings in the summer with your special someone.
